Peace and Plenty Farm hosted the Festival of Courage for North Fork School of Integrated Studies families and community members to celebrate this bountiful time of year, the power of the sun, and to gather strength to move forward to the dark time of year.
The Learning Council and VOGA teamed up to offer a class on cultivating heirloom grain, at Thistle Whistle Farm in Hotchkiss.
The Learning Council 4th of July Cherry Days parade featured circus arts, puppets and the event winners the North Fork Valley Community and Parade Band!

The Mushroom Cultivation class at the CommUnity garden was a great success. Niki Carpenter led the enthusiastic group in building beds for King Stropharia to grow and bring health to marginal soil.
The Final Friday Frolic was Fantastic Fun!! Life Drawing class works on display at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts on May 26, 2017.
May 20, 2017 – The Learning Council had a beautiful Saturday feeding the people at the Solar Fair and Permaculture Expo at Solar Energy International.
